Join the Opening Team at Pop's

Build something from the very beginning.

Pop's is a brand-new waterfront seafood shack opening at Georgetown Yacht Haven on the Sassafras River.

We're creating more than a restaurant—we're creating a place people return to all season long. Fresh Chesapeake seafood, oysters, smoked favorites cooked over live fire, cold drinks, outdoor gathering spaces, and genuine hospitality.

Our team won't spend the day inside a traditional restaurant. You'll work in an outdoor, fast-paced environment where guests order from the food truck and waterfront bar, gather around picnic tables, watch food being cooked over open flames, and enjoy being on the water.

What to Expect

We're planning to open in late August, pending final approvals.

We'll continue with weekend service throughout September and October, with plans for seasonal events, oyster roasts, holiday gatherings, and waterfront festivals as the year continues.

This is an opportunity to join our opening team and help shape the future of Pop's as we continue to grow.

Current Openings

Bartender

Serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages from our waterfront bar while creating a welcoming experience for guests. Pay: $5.00 per hour, plus tips

Raw Bar Bartender

Shuck oysters, prepare chilled seafood, pour drinks, and help create one of the most memorable parts of the Pop's experience. Pay: $5.00 per hour, plus tips

Food Truck Order Lead

Welcome guests, take food orders, coordinate with the kitchen, and keep service moving efficiently. Pay: $15.00 per hour, based on experience, plus eligible tip-outs

Cooks

Prepare fresh Chesapeake seafood and smoked favorites in our outdoor kitchen and food truck while maintaining speed, consistency, and quality. Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience, plus participation in the food-truck tip pool

Dockhand / Support Staff

The person who keeps everything running smoothly. Bus tables, run food, restock supplies, keep the property beautiful, help guests, and jump in wherever the team needs an extra hand. Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour

Restaurant experience is helpful for some positions, but attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are just as important.
